More About Good Stuff Thrift Shop

At Good Stuff Thrift Shop we gratefully accept the good "stuff" you no longer want and offer it for resale to our supporters in the local community. Every dollar of revenue goes directly to support programs for over 600 children and adults served by Contra Costa ARC programs.

Our mission is to help people with developmental disabilities reach their fullest potential, so that they can lead richer lives with less dependence upon public services. Your donation of items for resale will help us accomplish that mission.

It's a familiar picture: Boxes of perfectly good "stuff" that we no longer use, stored in our garage, our attic, in the back of our closets.

Things that are too good to just throw away – good clothing, good dishes, good appliances. Good furniture that we replaced with new. There it sits, gathering dust, taking up space, and going to waste.

	Because we provide a full spectrum of opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in our programs throughout Contra Costa County: Lynn Center for pre-schoolers, Community Access Program for adults with severe disabilities, and Commercial Support Services, providing paid work and supported employment for adults. Because we're financially responsible. We stretch our budget as far as it can be stretched, and we make every dollar count. Because we are a family based organization. Our Board of Directors is comprised of parents and other family members of people with developmental disabilities, along with friends from the community. Much of our member support comes from families and friends of the people we serve. Because we operate as a public/private partnership. Only some of our funding comes from government sources – the rest must be self generated or contributed by the community. Because we give you a big return on your investment. We make life better for over 600 children and adults in Contra Costa County. Contra Costa ARC is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.
