The After-School Program provides active recreation and social opportunities for students with developmental disabilities from ages 11 to 22.


The program is staffed at a 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio.  This allows for more flexibility to address the specific and varying choices and needs of each student.


The goal of the program is to provide interesting, enriching activities to achieve and reinforce objectives of the student and family.


The After-School Program operates year-round.  Services are provided on school calendar minimum days and non-school days, with the exception of holidays.  Typical hours are as follows:


Regular School Day:
2:30 – 6:00 pm
Minimum School Day:
2:00 – 6:00 pm
Non-school Day:
9:00 – 6:00 pm


The George Miller Center After-School Programs are vendorized by the Regional Center of the East Bay and licensed by the State Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.
